My dad had been a Boy Scout for over 50 years. He devoted most of his life to the Boy Scouts Of America and he even had a Boy Scout museum for several years. When he was in the process of the end of his life from cancer that spread to his lungs and liver at age 88, I asked him if he would try to communicate with me somehow and some time after he passed on and he told me he would try. My dad was also a coin collector a lot of his life. He is the reason I got into coin collecting. I go all over in the area I live in and purchase bags and boxes of old coins to go through and pick out the old coins. He has been gone for going on 5 years now. Last week I was going through a bag of coins and found this penny with a Boy Scout symbol that is punched on this penny the same one that is on his tombstone. I’m thinking to myself what are the odds that I find this rare penny. I said out loud thank you for being a wonderful devotional dad even after leaving this earth!

When I was 12 my face was crushed in a freak accident. I was in the neighbors yard waiting for my friend to get done mowing so we could hang out for awhile and a large rock was hit by the mower and hit me below my left temple by my eye. When this happened I went some were and all I heard was a voice asking me if I wonted to die. That’s all they kept repeating over and over. I kept telling whoever this was I didn’t want to die I was only 12. Where ever I went to, there was no pain. That is until I was sent back. I take it this voice I was hearing was ether God or an angel talking to me. Where ever I went, it seemed I was there for a really long time and it must have been just a matter of seconds. Because when I came to my friend was still mowing. I don’t now how I even could have made it home but I ran home probably close to a half a block. When I met my dad in the kitchen and collapsed into his arms and he carried me into the back seat of the car to take me to the hospital. My mom drove because my dad was legally blind. When we were backing out of the drive way I looked out of the back window and my friend was still mowing and had no idea what happened to me. I tell people that when this accident happened I either died or had a very near death experience, it isn't the first time that had happened in my childhood. Some people believe me and some people look at me like I’m crazy. It really doesn’t matter to me if people believe me or not I know what happened. I believe in life after death and I will always tell you Yes. I know there’s a better place after we leave this earth.
What a powerful testimony of the afterlife! That’s cool about you finding this penny! Thank you for sharing! I too believe in near death experiences as I have a close friend who had several of them while in heart surgery!
