My Family Used To Call A Bell Pepper A Mango

When I was little my family would always call bell peppers mangoes , how about you?! When I moved from the Midwest to California, I was shocked when I found out what a mango really was when I began working for a local grocery chain. Boy, we were SO FAR OFF THAT IT'S STILL EMBARRASSING!🫑🥭 However, it is still common enough that the Webster dictionary's definition for mango includes a sweet pepper.   Some grocery stores will call their bell peppers “ mango peppers ” so that everybody knows exactly what type of food they are looking at. I do wonder how that would work for anybody wanting to prepare a Mango and Bell Pepper Salsa. Although both the bell pepper and the mango are fruits, a pepper is a pepper and a mango is a mango. Flow Of Life Is A Journey

I'm currently eating Taco Bell in the Walmart parking lot because it's Taco Tuesday. Also, because that's the American Way. While waiting in Taco Bell's drive-thru, an elderly lady in the car behind me was taking her order and she asked them: "Do you take debit cards? Then much louder, "Do you take debit cards?! Okay, then I'll have a cheeseburger." If I could, I would have made her that burger myself.

I really did miss the version of me that was more spiritually and mentally aware , health conscious, and used to meditate in the sun and journal while sitting outside with my feet in the grass. I used to make art and enjoy the simple things in life. I knew what to do but I was not doing it. I feel like the journal was the key, and the rest fell in place after that .I am unsure where I had went and why I had left, but I am back, hence this blog which isn't just for myself but for all of you. It’s the ebb and flow of life. My favorite saying is as long as we have breath we have options. Change is right around the corner and our current situation isn’t permanent. Change is difficult at first, messy in the middle, and beautiful and/or tasty at the end, just like tacos and burgers! Life is a journey , and the journey can be better than the destination regardless if countable or uncountable when you really think about it. The JOURNEY IS THE REWARD.

Why do millions of people remember commercials of Ed McMahon always popping up at people's homes and knocking on their doors with surprise over-sized checks to winners...if he supposedly never did this even once for any company at all?! Do you remember seeing him on TV delivering prize checks? It is said that Ed never delivered giant checks to anyone, and that it's a false memory and example of the Mandela Effect. Now, I do understand that Ed never worked for Publisher's Clearing House Sweepstakes, but for their competitor, American Family Publishers. And, that American Family Publishers NEVER had commercials of Ed or of anyone delivering checks or prizes to anyone.
