Wise Words Of Wisdom

I don't really have any thoughts this fine Monday afternoon. I just have the echo of the wise words of encouragement and advice of Katherine Stewart, a soul beloved to so many. Her beliefs, her philosophy, and her mantra were always summed up in two simple words; "Always Care". That philosophy was more than just a motto; the philosophy in those words were the road map with which she navigated her own life, and the inspiration she instilled in the minds and hearts of the countless people she inspired over the years. "Always Care" was just the way Katherine Stewart, or Katie Bug The Lady Bug, as she was so lovingly known to so many, rolled. And I can tell all of you personally, that the "Always Care" philosophy of life is still relevant and very powerful. Last Famous Words Of Shelby Thomas

When I hear the song, "Famous Last Words" by My Chemical Romance, I immediately tear up. The reason I am even mentioning it is because last night at a Christmas light festival, I heard someone playing it. It isn't even in my usual music genre, but this song was played in the car the morning I took my cousin Shelby Thomas to her last surgery before she passed away of ovarian cancer. Shelby was my best childhood friend.  I had never heard any songs by that band before , but this song's lyrics and chords resonated in the moment so I looked it up and listened to it on repeat as I waited in the waiting room of the hospital. I was so anxious sitting on pins and needles, this song kept me calm and centered. I was NOT created to worry and I was NOT created to fear. After finding out she had died, I never took this song off of the playlist. I didn’t listen to anything else for a long while after.



Not even an over exaggeration. The meaningful Famous Last Words lyrics really just wrapped around me and really and truly gave me life meaning , strength, and mental healing. I listened to it for one month straight without ever listening to much of anything else because I was scared that if I turned it off I would simply fall apart and that Shelby's last words would dissolve and be forgotten forever. But it did keep me together and it still has that effect on me. It keeps me together and I am so grateful that Shelby played it for me before she departed. May death never stop you either!

This is a rare photograph taken on March 21, 1958 by an unknown photographer of an unused grave that Ed Gein had dug for one of his last victims, a future victim, or maybe for unwanted body parts. This photo was captured the day after his isolated house at N5691 2nd Ave, Plainfield, Wisconsin 54966 had burned to the ground. The farmhouse and all of his farm property was going to be sold by auction on March 30, 1958 (his arrest day was Nov. 16, 1957).  On April 15, 1963 at about 8 a.m., Geraldine Patton Williams was found decapitated at age 43 in her small family-owned meat market in West Frankfort Heights of Southern Illinois. She probably officially died on April 14th, if before midnight. The police entered Patton's Market located at 1716 E. Main St. when she did not open as usual that morning. They found her body dressed in a bra and nylons, her blouse was found neatly folded on a crate of bottles with the electric saw that was used as a meat cutter still running. Her torso and body were on the floor laying belly down, while her head, cleanly cut at her shoulders, was propped on a shelf next to the meat cutter.
