The bacon and chicken stuffing (aka dressing) and diced sweet potatoes are prepped and ready for the oven in a few hours! Finishing up the turkey and the pies first. I made myself a nice little cocoa and banana chocolate chip mug cake as a treat for working hard today. It came out extremely delicious! (Banana as a replacement for the eggs). So excited to see family and friends this evening!

With all of that being stated, now I will share an odd story that happened to me on a Thanksgiving long ago when I was still in college.
I'd like to say that all types of skepticism is welcome so long as we respect each other. That Thanksgiving I experienced something that caused me to pass out as I was in the emergency room when this occurred and it was about 6 pm as earlier that day my sugar was very elevated so I had to be rushed to the ER which was very stressful being that I couldn't be with any loved ones that year for Thanksgiving day. I was in a room watching YouTube videos and at the time that I was in the ER, they had put me in a room far away from the nurses station though I had a device where I could call for help if I needed to which was definitely appreciated So for a few hours things where quiet and I had gone into a deep sleep.
I'd say I maybe had slept for about 4 hours and I woke up to go to the bathroom but.....this is where it gets odd I exited my room and the nurses station closest to me along with whatever was beyond it was completely pitch black and basically looked abandoned I was so confused... but of course me being me I have always been curios and instead of being afraid already knowing that this wasn't normal I decided to walk around and explore.
As I started to walk around immediately I started hearing voices and strange sounds as if people where clamoring and talking about the multiple deaths that took place that night but yet I saw no one the place was empty but as I walked on the sounds started to change now I'm hearing people scream like in pain and I'm even hearing children crying As I continued to walk the lights would now start flashing like crazy and the pained sounds got even louder as this started happening things started to get tossed and not like cups or light stuff I'm talking things like chairs,medical beds, heavy tables and even computers it made no sense though to be honest I was actually enjoying myself because anyone who believes in the paranormal knows that catching something like this is nearly impossible.
After about maybe 5 minutes everything just stopped and all the lights snapped off so here I was in the darkness again and well...this is where things got really unusually weird...so basically as everything went silent I started hearing my dad's laughter as I knew his voice. When I heard this I walked towards the sound and standing there was my dad laughing and running to me to hug him but his voice seemed different like it changed and suddenly he looked deathly pale and his breathing got very nerve-wracking as he seemed to be choking and struggling to breathe. I grabbed and squeezed him and as his body was getting cold I hugged him tightly and suddenly he started to warm up and regain his color. After a few seconds, my dad started to smile and laugh again and I told him I love him. When I said this, he disappeared like instantly and suddenly I became dizzy and I started feeling a bad pain in my chest and a strange pressure as if somebody was beating my chest with something cold it felt like volts where going through me and.....well.
That is literally what was happening after a few seconds of this pain I blacked out and woke up on the floor by the bathroom with a whole bunch of doctors and nurses surrounding me as they where using AED's to bring me back because apparently I fell into cardiac arrest and collapsed.
Luckily they where able to stabilize me in time to receive a very shocking but important call.....so it turns out that at the time that they where trying to resuscitate me my dad had an attack himself and he couldn't breathe. My aunt told me that they had to rush him to the hospital because he was not breathing for about 5 minutes luckily he woke up breathing normally once again and the first thing he did was ask for me and began laughing! She told me that they got him to wake up and breathe normally and on further examination they told her they didn't find anything wrong.
So honestly I have no idea as to what had occurred but I do know that for a fact my dad had lost his life for a short amount of time and that when I freaked out and I hugged him and said I loved him, that was the reason that he woke up and is alive. Thank you to whoever takes the time to read this story. We both had been given a second chance to live and it was a blessing, actually a Thanksgiving miracle! I will always be extra thankful and cherish the gift of extra time given to me and my dad that year. 🧡
